Parkmont Poetry Festival

The Parkmont Poetry Festival celebrates its 31st year of showcasing the poetry and voices of D.C. area youth.

We help students learn how to succeed in school — and in life.

Parkmont School Building

Parkmont School provides an environment for transformation and transition — from challenge to success. We've created a sensible, sound, and sensitive approach to the individual needs of each student, calibrating learning to abilities. It's a process that requires patience, plenty of one-on-one interaction between students and faculty, and a personal investment in finding what works, one student at a time. After 40 years and thousands of students, we can confidently say, "It works."

Transformation and Transition

This spring, Parkmont students are having fun and are engaged in what they are doing. Many private schools’ admissions cycles are over, but we have rolling admissions and accept students all year. Know students and families who are not having a successful year so far? They can still become part of our community. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our unique academic and internship program provides enormous support for students, helps them take charge of their responsibilities as emerging adults, and provides real world adventure and work. We’ve been sending students with learning and other challenges to college for 40 years. Learn more about our students and how they experience transformation during their transitional period here.

A Grand Adventure!

In April a number of Parkmont students went to the Grand Canyon! They studied the science and history behind it for 5 weeks and then got to experience it for themselves. Pictures and stories coming soon.
