Imani Shanklin Roberts is an artist, art therapist, and enthusiastic educator who has returned to her native Washington, D.C., after ten years in Brooklyn, NY. As both an artist and a facilitator with her students and clients, Imani seeks to create liberating and socially responsive work that encourages self-realized liberation. Her artwork spans a wide range of media and forms, including oil on canvas, commissioned murals and other public art, sculpture design, graphic design, and film. She has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows and has been featured in AfroPunk, Artnet, Essence, Huffington Post, and other national and international publications.
